Arcana — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Arcana mobile application (“Arcana”, “the app”), operated by QUBENT SOFTWARE - FZCO (“we”, “us”), handles your information.

1. Data we collect

To create your profile and compute your astrological chart, the app asks for your name, birth date, birth time and birth place, and optionally your email address and phone number. Your birth details, readings, journal archive and preferences are stored locally on your device; we do not upload them to our servers.

2. Palm photos

When you use the palm reading feature, your photo is processed only at the moment of the reading to generate the interpretation. The photo passes through our own relay server on its way to the AI provider, but it is never stored on our servers, never added to your profile, and never sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes. A copy of your last reading (and, optionally, the photo) may be kept locally on your device so your reading persists; you can remove it by starting a new reading or resetting your profile.

3. Reading generation

Readings are generated with the help of third-party AI language-model services (currently OpenAI). Only the minimum information needed for a given reading (for example your first name, zodiac sign, chart summary, the question you asked, or the palm photo being read) is sent, at the moment the reading is generated, to our own relay server, which forwards it to the AI provider. The relay exists so that our provider credentials stay on the server and never ship inside the app; it does not keep a copy of your request. The information is used solely to produce that reading. We do not use your content to train models.

4. Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and our subscription-management provider (RevenueCat). We never see or store your payment card details. Purchase state (for example whether your subscription is active) is processed to unlock premium features.

5. Marketing communication

If you share your email address or phone number and give explicit consent, we may send you product news and offers. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app’s Settings or by contacting us.

6. Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives on your device, deleting it is in your control: the “Reset profile” action in Settings permanently deletes your profile, chart, readings and archive from the device. Uninstalling the app has the same effect.

7. Children

Arcana is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data. For any request or question, contact us at developer@qubent.io.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app, and the effective date above will be updated.
